Livorno images 100 years after the birth of the PCI.

The city of Livorno celebrates the centenary of the birth of the Italian Communist Party in 2021. A web portal documents contemporary Livorno and its port with photographs and videos.

Livorno is today a Tuscan city where the rhythms of life are marked by the sea. Large cruise ships and cargo ships docking at the port employ most of the citizens. The marina, with its hundreds of sailboats anchored in the piers, feeds the economy and creates social relations.

The sea is a great attraction for all the inhabitants who regenerate themselves with long walks along the seafront and meet at the Mascagni Terrace.

On January 21, 1921, the Congress of the Socialist Party was held in Livorno which gave rise to the split and the birth of the new Italian Communist Party.

The city of Livorno, on the occasion of the birth of the PCI, will create a series of initiatives to celebrate the event throughout 2021: photographic exhibitions; exhibition of memorabilia including the first flag of the PCI sewn by the women of Livorno; conferences, debates and television broadcasts.

The MyVideoimage.com web portal dedicates a section with photos and videos with images of Livorno that illustrate the port with its ships and freight traffic and places of entertainment such as the famous Terrazza Mascagni. The images of Livorno and the videos are visible and downloadable directly from the site and can be used for editorial purposes.
