Dam of the port of La Spezia that separates the gulf from the open sea. The dam was built at the end of the 19th century to militarily protect the port of La Spezia. At both ends of the dam there are gates for access to the interior of the gulf. The passage for access to ships is the one located on the Portovenere side. Diga del porto di La Spezia che separa il golfo dal mare aperto. La diga fu costruita alla fine dell’800 per proteggere militarmente il porto di La Spezia . Alle due estremità della diga sono presenti i varchi per l’accesso all’interno del golfo. Il varco per l’accesso delle navi è quello collocato dal lato di Portovenere. Il varco posto in direzione Leric, di dimensioni inferiori è riservato alle barche.
