Near Campocatino there is a suggestive hermitage set in the rock. The Garfagnana is a valley between the mountains of the Apuan Alps and those of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. In these areas there are some hermitages including that of San Viviano which can be seen in the photo. The hermitage can be reached by a path that starts from the nearby town of Campocatino. The small church was built using the rock walls of the same mountain. The roof is built with local wooden beams.

Vicino a Campocatino c'è un eremo suggestivo incastonato nella roccia. La Garfagnana è una vallata compresa fra le montagne delle Alpi Apuane e quelle dell’Appennino Tosco Emiliano. In queste zone sono presenti alcuni eremi tra cui l’eremo San Viviano che si vede nella foto. L’eremo è raggiungibile con un sentiero che parte dalla vicina località di Campocatino. La piccola chiesa è stata realizzata utilizzando le pareti in roccia della stessa montagna. Il tetto è costruito con travi in legno locale. Foto stock Eremo San Viviano
