Blocks of white Carrara marble deposited in a square near the quarries. The marble is extracted from the mountains with cuts made with diamond wire. The surfaces of the blocks are smooth and regular. The material is waiting to be loaded on large trucks that transport it to the sawmills of Carrara, or to the port of Marina di Carrara, where it is shipped all over the world. Video footage. Blocchi di marmo bianco di Carrara depositati in un piazzale vicino alle cave. Il marmo viene estratto dalle montagne con tagli eseguiti con filo diamantato. Le superfici dei blocchi sono lisce e regolari. Il materiale aspetta di essere caricato su grossi camion che provvedono a trasportarlo nelle segherie di Carrara, oppure al porto di Marina di Carrara, dove viene spedito in tutto il mondo.
