The ancient village of white marble quarrymen is located above Carrara, in the north of Tuscany. In the photo you can see a marble staircase built with large slabs. The town of Colonnata has been inhabited since ancient times by the marble quarrymen of the Apuan Alps. L'antico borgo di cavatori di marmo bianco si trova sopra Carrara, nel nord della Toscana. Nella foto si vede una scala in marmo costruita con grosse lastre. Il paese di Colonnata è sin dall’antichità abitato dai cavatori di marmo delle Alpi Apuane. La realizzazione di particolari architettonici in marmo è quindi opera dei lavoratori che prestavano la propria opera nelle vicine cave.
